Foto Finish --- Something Blue

This week's Foto Finish assignment is Something Blue.  I could have taken a picture of my stash, or even of my closet & found lots and lots of blue...but THIS is my favorite blue thing!  My 2006 Chevy HHR - aka "Hank Hoo-Ray".  This was shot at a rest area in New Mexico I believe, during the solo roadtrip I took in 2007, traveling from So. California to Arizona, & Missouri, then up across the north to Idaho & back home again.

Foto Finish --- Something New

It's time for Foto Finish!

This week our topic is "Something New"

(have you noticed a theme for this month?).

I was thinking that since my

"Something Old"

for last week was my Dad,

perhaps my

"Something New"

for this week should be a baby.

But, I didn't happen across any babies this week.

So I thought again

(and YES, it was a bit painful!!)

and decided I would take a picture of the

NEWEST thing in my house.

My new dryer's knob!

I tried to get a shot of the whole dryer,

with newly dried towels in it,

but the lighting wasn't cooperating.

Foto Finish --- Something Old

This week our Foto Finish topic is "Something Old".

I've been pondering on it all week long.

I thought about digging out some old coins,

or taking a new picture of the first quilt that I designed.

But...

I finally decided on this.

He's not quite old enough to be an "antique".

(Isn't that 100 years old?)

But he's definitely old enough to be a "collectible"!

This picture was taken 2 years ago,

when Dad was only 92.

He turned 94 in May & is still doing pretty darned good!

And he still isn't afraid of being silly -

like "wearing" a flamingo on his head!

Foto Finish --- Water

I missed out on last week's Foto Finish - Gardens.  I took some pictures of my friends' garden, then, before downloading them, I formatted my memory card!  Sheesh.

Anyway, here's my entry for WATER.

It was taken on a beautiful day in San Diego, California,

on April 5th, 2011.

I really like the movement in the water

& the reflection on the side of the boat.

I'm ready to go out on the water again!
